Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park is a free City of Tampa park on the west bank of the Hillsborough River, just across from downtown, with a splash pad that anchors a lively waterfront destination. The water-play area features a big tipping splash bucket, set beside a fenced 'play cove' with playground equipment for kids ages 2 to 12. Beyond the water play, the 23-acre park offers sports courts, open lawns, a boathouse, and downtown skyline views. The splash pad and all park areas are free; hours run roughly 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the warm months and shorter in winter.
