About This Splash Pad
Heckscher Playground is a 1.8-acre adventure-style playground in Central Park featuring swings, slides, a maze-like climbing structure, and an extensive water play area alongside views of Midtown Manhattan. Originally built in 1927 and redesigned in the 1960s-1970s with interconnected play features meant to spark creative exploration, the playground was fully rebuilt in 2006 and welcomes families, kids, and toddlers daily from 8am to 8pm.
