About This Splash Pad
Abess Park is a free community park on Jacksonville's east side with a seasonal splash pad that opens for the summer around Memorial Day weekend. The water feature gives families a place to cool off alongside the park's playground, picnic shelter, and shaded seating. Beyond the water play, the park packs a lot into its size — baseball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, and paved trails — and it rarely feels crowded. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with free admission and on-site restrooms.
